Our poultry diary debuts today. it is important to note that adequate preparation was made for the arrival of the birds which we carried out to the detail.
The house was prepared with shavings spread on the floor of the house. Feeders were placed in the right spaces as well as drinkers. Thankfully, our birds arrived in the afternoon and they were looking very healthy as you can see in the video below. Some important things to note at this stage is

1. The temperature must be watched closely as it should not go beyond 32 degrees centigrade.
All the windows are accurately covered to avoid heat escape.
After the birds were properly checked (checking includes looking closely at the basalpart of the birds to ensure it is well closed wnd not bleeding)we found one bird whose basal is not well dried and we knew it migt not survive it till te next day.
On this first day vitamin was prepared in the water for them to drink. This is to ease and heal them of the stress they have passed through before getting to the farm.
After this light formulated rich chicken feed stater was given to give them strength. After watching them closely to monitor the temperature and esnure it is balance, we close for today till tomorrow. More pix tommorrow
