Video: Day 2 of our Pullet Project

DAY 2
Its day 2 and we are at the farm. Our birds have gotten over the stress of yesterday,  all thanks to the multivitamin that was added in thier water for drinking. The normal routine was carried out;

1. Checking the temperature level, which should not be above 32 dgerees centigrade or below
2. Cleaning the feeders and they are now littered with their faeces.

3. Washing thier drinkers which is as well now dirty.

One thing is of note for today. We need to start the use of an antibiotics adding it into thier water alongside the multivitamin. This is to ensure that they are fortified and their body equipped to fight against any bacteria or viral infection that may want to surface in this first week. Therefore, an antibiotics was bought (neocyril)which is an hydrosolube mixture of bactericide antibiotics and vitamins. A measure of 1gram of neocyril was added into 1 liter of the birds drinking water as well as the vitalite. This will be administered for the next 5 days.
We continue the normal routine and watching of the temperature level was paramount.
Also one mortality was recorded ; one of the birds was over stressed and as a result could not make it till the next day.
